With a large A-frame chamber design and medium tip long facing combination, the Corbin Custom bass clarinet mouthpiece provides a unique balance of tonal flexibility, large dynamic range, and considerable core to the sound. Each mouthpiece is CNC-milled from solid German rod rubber and extensively hand-finished for a refined look, feel, and sound. The O rings provide a perfect seal and a longer lasting, cheaper alternative to cork. Grease is still recommended for use with the O rings.
The Honu has a lower baffle which results in a slightly less resistant feel while the Kilauea has a higher baffle offering more resistance.
